SCOREBOARD
The heart of the Soccer Track app is the SCOREBOARD. The Scoreboard stays active during the course of each period such as the first or second halves. It provides a clock and score as well as a continually updated list of all of the players who are either playing on the field or waiting on the sidelines. The app tracks how much time each player is on the field and in which position each period. Most importantly, the Soccer Track allows you to respond to phone calls or other interruptions and keeps track of the time passed until active again.
The information collected during the game is then available to you, the coach, as a Game Summary List which may be emailed in a format which may be printed or used to enter into Excel or similar analysis software. Also available is the Team Summary List which provides the same information but summarized over the entire season.
The Soccer Track app gives the team coach or a parent complete control over all of the activities of a soccer game. It is appropriate for all levels of soccer league play. As the coach, once at the beginning of the season you must set up several important files – referred to as Initial Setup. Initial Setup includes entering a League record, entering a Team record, adding each player to the Player Pool and finally transferring players from the pool to the Team that you have setup. This entire process might take 20-30 minutes and need only be done once. It is by far the most time consuming part of using the Soccer Track app, however, the information is critical to a successful experience.
Prior to each Game, you will enter a Game record describing your opponent and you will pick the starting lineup. Soccer Track will keep the starting lineup for the first half and make it available for each following period. You may add and delete from the starters for each period, significantly shortening the process. Soccer Track provides preset values for periods: First Half, Second Half, Overtime 1 and 2, and Shoot-Out 1 and 2. It also provides preset values for positions and game events.
